Audacity is free and easy to use software for recording and editing sounds in various types of operating systems. The interface is translated into many languages and it is open source software available for anyone to study or use. Students can record live audio or computer playback. Convert tapes and records into digital recordings or CDs. We used it to record live audio and short music tracks from our different countries. So students learned to cut, copy, and mix sound together. The programme also has numerous effects, for example to change the speed or pitch of a recording.
The students have been asked to prepare an audio file with their favorite music. They formed groups and here is the result of their work.
